The Wolf River, in Fremont, is known for its excellent white bass run every spring. Don’t forget about the walleye. They make their annual spawning run a couple of weeks earlier. Eagle River is known for its excellent fishing for walleye and muskie. Big smallmouth and perch can be caught here, especially in the spring, but you won’t find them in great numbers. Green Lake is a nice lake in Wisconsin. It’s big, wide open and can sometimes be quite choppy, but it has a lot of fish in it and less crowds than most other lakes.
